Team Leader Dwayne Harries has praised Swanton for fighting to keep him by helping him further his career dreams.

Talented Dwayne, who works at the Maesawel service, was set to leave the company after being offered a Qualifications and Credit Framework (CQF) Assessor position at another organisation. However, when Dwayne regretfully handed his notice in, Team Swanton sprung into action to find an opportunity in-house that would match it. Now, Dwyane is happily working in his new role alongside his Maesawel duties and looking forward to a bright future at Swanton.

Dwayne said: “When I handed my notice in, it was with regret as I loved working at Maesawel and in the Swanton team. However, I was invited to a meeting where I was offered a position within the Learning and Development Team that provided the opportunity I was looking for. I was thrilled to be able to stay and to make the steps forward to further my passion for teaching.”

In his new role, Dwayne will be designing and delivering courses to the Swanton workforce.

He added: “I currently train people in Basic Life Support, and now I’ll get hands-on experience with all aspects of the allocated training per quarter. Swanton is supporting me in gaining the qualifications I need alongside my work. I know studying and working at the same time is going to require some juggling, but I’m really excited to develop my skills. My story goes to show that Swanton takes the time to listen to team members, recognises their strengths and strives to develop their workforce. It makes me very proud to be part of Swanton and to know they are as invested in my future as I am.”
